Exodus 18:21 ESV
Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.

Great care should be taken in the choice of the persons who should be admitted into this trust; it was requisite that they should be men of the best character. That they should attend God's direction in their decision making.

For judgment and resolution, able men: men of good sense, that understood business; and bold men, that would not be daunted by frowns or clamors. Clear heads and strength of heart, men of spirit and courage who are not afraid to do justice.

For piety, such as fear God, who believe there is a God above them, whose eye is upon them, to whom they are accountable, and whose judgment they stand in awe of. Conscientious men, that dare not do an ill thing, though they could do it ever so secretly and securely.

For honesty, men of truth, whose word one may take, and whose fidelity one may rely upon. Men of integrity, sincere, upright, and faithful men that love truth and hate lies and falsehood.
For a generous contempt of worldly wealth, hating covetousness, not only not seeking bribes, or aiming to enrich themselves, but abhorring the thought of it. Those who are incorruptible.

Many candidates will say many things to please the ears of the people. I believe you can know a lot about a person on how they have voted in the past and what they support. If you want to know how these candidates will represent you; check out their voting record to date and where they stand on three key issues:

Life
Religious Freedom
Marriage
It is time for the church to wake up. It’s time for God’s people to vote biblical principal and not on feelings or empty promises. It’s time for you to engage in conversations with friends, family and workers about the direction of America. And how their vote….your vote can and does make a difference. Amen
